Angstrom kicks off:

a new approach to supercapacitors

Angstrom, the project investigating innovative solutions for supercapacitors as an alternative to conventional batteries, has held its first online meeting between researchers from the Jožef Stefan Institute (Department of Gaseous Electronics), Central European Institute of Technology (Brno University of Technology), IQS Nano and the Spanish National Research Council (Materials Science Institute of Seville), the latter institution responsible for coordinating the project.

The Angstrom consortium addressed various topics, including administrative and management information and processes, set up of project procedures, communication and dissemination, upcoming deliverables and others.

Right now, the researchers are working on two main stages which are nanocarbon synthesis and surface engineering for the development of novel materials.
